TRV’s.....Why bother?
What many people don’t
know is that if you install
a new central heating system these are a
legal requirement, along
with time and temperature
control, i.e. a room thermostat
and programmer. Being able
to control individual radiators
not only saves you money
but helps to give you a more
comfortable home besides helping the environment.

Room Thermostats can be wired or wireless
which use a receiver at or near to the boiler and can
be either push button or dial operated like this
one which is also digital, but analogue wireless stats are available too. Needless to say there is no need to disturb your decor by chasing in wires.
All you do is pop in a couple of batteries from time to time (though not too often).

Don’t get caught out by old plumbing and fittings.
Until recently this 1960's galvanised cold water tank was in regular use but, amazingly the householder never got flooded.
THE BIG HOLE you can see is where the float valve was meant to be fastened!
If you’ve got this type of tank in your home why not take a good look at it. Changing these tanks now could save much heart ache later.
